Bude Canal Refurbishment Project

After successfully completing gunite and soil nailing works at the site, this picture shows Carnon Contracting installing sacrificial ODES tube with fabricated drainage slots into the bank of the Bude Canal bank as part of a custom drainage scheme, designed by the John Grimes Partnership for the Bude Canal Refurbishment Project, in order that water pressure can be relieved in this section of the canal bank. This project won the minor works category in the Institution of Civil Engineers 2008 awards for the South West Region.

Bude Canal Refurbishment Guniting/Shotcreting and Drilling/Bolting

Carnon’s tasks include the installation of Self Drilling MAI Anchors, Guniting (shotcreting) of the canal walls and the cased installation of drainage holes.
