			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Carnon Contracting recently completed a contact for CORMAC on behalf of CPR regeneration to undertake the installation of 542Nr soil nails of varying lengths up to 8.5 metres along the widened section of Gas Lane at Tolvadden. Once the nails were installed a geotextile covering was affixed. Small sections of the cutting were filled with extremely loose material, this was secured by an application of sprayed concrete, prior to the geotextile being affixed. This late instruction was taken on board and works commenced within 24 Hrs of the instruction - this was wholly due to he fact that Carnon have a directly employed workforce</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p dir="ltr"><span class="346271407-30072008"><a rel="lightbox[pics-1218814573]" href="http://www.carnon-contracting.co.uk/wp-content/bude-canal-1.jpg" title="bude-canal-1.jpg"></a>After successfully completing gunite and soil nailing works at the site, this picture shows Carnon Contracting installing sacrificial ODES tube with fabricated drainage slots into the bank of the Bude Canal bank as part of a custom drainage scheme, designed by the John Grimes Partnership for the Bude Canal Refurbishment Project, in order that water pressure can be relieved in this section of the canal bank. This project won the minor works category in the Institution of Civil Engineers 2008 awards for the South West Region. </span></p>

<p>Carnon have commenced work as part of the CORMAC scheme to refurbish a section of the Bude Canal in Cornwall.</p>
<p>Carnon&#8217;s tasks include the installation of Self Drilling MAI Anchors, Guniting (shotcreting) of the canal walls and the cased installation of drainage holes. The contract is currently running to schedule.</p>

<p>Carnon Contracting have successfully completed a bolting and meshing contract for Cormac at a site near Launceston in Cornwall, UK.</p>
<p>The works included the installation  of solid bar rock anchors and rockfall mesh to mitigate the risk to site workers from potential rockfalls from the slope.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.carnon-contracting.co.uk"><strong><font color="#000000">Carnon Contracting</font></strong></a> have been awarded the contract to drill two Ground Source Heat Pump Boreholes for a new ecohome at Polzeath in Cornwall.</p>
<p>The design for the project is being provided by <a href="http://www.capture-energy.co.uk/" target="_blank">Capture Energy</a> and the main Contractor is <a href="http://www.applegate.co.uk/company/12/84/125.htm" target="_blank">Ginn Construction.</a></p>
<p>The heat pumps are being supplied by <a href="http://www.kensaengineering.com/" target="_blank">Kensa Engineering</a> of Truro in Cornwall.</p>

<p>Carnon Contracting have completed drilling boreholes for several Ground Source Heat Pumps in Mullion in Cornwall.</p>
<p>A total of 12 no. 100m boreholes were drilled on behalf of ROK.</p>
<p>The loops and Grout were all supplied and installed by Carnon.</p>
<p>Carnon also undertook to install the horizontal pipework from the boreholes to the heatpump locations.</p>
